Tham Jang Cave

Tham Jang cave is one of the most popular cave in Vang Vieng and located just only a few minutes walk from the town center.

Unlike Tham Phu Kham cave which it located about 7km away from town, this cave have a resort as an entrance to get into the site.

You need to pay the entrance's fee before you are allowed to the site.

From here you have to walk across the bridge over Nam Song river to get to the cave.

When you arrive at the foot of the mountain there is a stair that lead to the top of the mountain where the real cave is located. This is very steep stairs and you need some physical fitness to help you reach at the to top. Many weak and old people are not encourage to climb this stairs as a precaution of your health and your safety.

When you reach the cave at the top you will enjoy a nice view over looking Vang Vieng and its surrounding area as one of the picture below. This cave believe to be a hide out location during the Chinese-Ho invasion
