Salavan Province
| Salavan province is located in the southern of Laos and has a total area of approximately 10,691 square kilometers. The total population is about 300,000 people and Salavan is its capital city. |
The province has eight following districts:

- 1. Salavan District
- 2. Ta Oy District
- 3. Toumlane District
- 4. Lakhonepheng District
- 5. Vapy District
- 6. Khongsedone District
- 7. Lao Ngam District
- 8. Samouay District
Salavan has a border with Vietnam in the east, Thailand in the west, Savannakhet province in the north, Sekong province in the southeast and Champasak province in the southwest. The Boleven Plateau is situated here where it is a famous location for the production of coffee and others crops that love cool climate.
Salavan is also home of many ethic groups who live here for century and the main groups that found here are: Laven, Pako, Tahoy, Katang, Kado and Suay. In Ta Oy district only 80 km from province capiltal city, you can visit ethic villages see their daily life and experience their tradition and culture.
Tad Lo resort is only 85 km from Pakse and easily access by bus, private car and even by motorbike. It has beautiful scenary, nice waterfall and so far attract a lot of tourist and local to visit there daily. At this resort you are allowed to swim in the waters around the waterfall.
