Lap Tradional Lao Food

Lap is the original Lao food that had been prepared and cooked to feed Lao family for generation.

This is a well known dish for Lao people all over the country from north to south. A meal with this food is consider to be a delicious and healthy meal. Therefore during ceremony or festival, laap is one of the a favorite dish that always include in the meal.

Lap can be prepare by beef, chicken, pork and fish but ingredients and herbs to prepare with the different kind of above meats are vary from one to another. For example if you cook this food using beef the ingredients and herbs will be a little bit different from cooking lap using fish. This is because the nature of the meat you cook, but in general all process will be similar.

Recently, may restaurants not only in Laos but over the world where they open Lao or Thai restaurants lap is always included in their main menu. People come to the restaurant one out of five always order this food for their meal, this number is for none Lao or Thai customers.
