In 1975 when the Lao's People
Revolution Party came into power and rename the country "Lao's People
Democratic Republic there was an exodus of Laotian leaving the country
to the western world. Many of them came to Germany and live there
permanently after more than 35 years living away from home they are now
Laotian Germans.
The majority of Lao's people in
Germany are living in Altlußheim and Nürnberg.

Buddhism, even though they live far away from home they still follow

Altlußheim they built Lao's temple "Wat Sibounheuang" for
their community so they can have a place to worship, meditate,
celebrate Buddhist festivals and teach their children about Buddhism.
